Thames to the sea
The tidal Thames stretches from the sea as far inland as Teddington in Middlesex. Slightly under 100 miles in length, this stretch of river offers a wealth of different scenes - from the almost open sea in the estuary, to the green and leafy islands (or aits as they are known) around Isleworth and Brentford, with industrial London in between.
