The Bucaniers of America
Frontispiece to 'The Bucaniers of America' by John Exquemelin (1678) was one of the first attempts to study piracy. It became a prime source of information for subsequent histories of piracy and contains a detailed account of the life of Sir Henry Morgan, one of the most famous pirates of all time.
