From a set of 40 engraved and hand-coloured cards within a coloured cardboard slipcase, entitled 'The Elements of Astronomy and Geography Explained on 40 Cards beautifully Engraved and Coloured. By the Abbe? Paris'. The set was published on 15 July 1795 by John Wallis of 16 Ludgate Street, London. John Wallis, with his sons John and Edward, was a prolific publisher of board games, such as the 'Science in Sport' game AST1199, in the late 18th and early 19th century.
