The German battleship 'Weissenburg' (1891) at anchor

A port bow view of the German battleship 'Weissenburg' (1891) at anchor at Woosung/Wusong. The large guns on the foredeck are pointed forwards. Boats are stowed amidships and there are men dressed in white on deck and on the bridge. Another two-funnelled and two-masted warship is off the starboard beam. The original negative envelope, contained this, as well as another glass plate negative [N66409] (as well as two contact prints). It was labelled: 'German Battleships. 2. Woosung, 1900' and the accompanying contact print for this negative was labelled on the reverse: 'German Battleship, Woosung, 1900'.
