The packet 'Princess Amelia'
A primitive and highly stylised portrait of the 'Princess Amelia' of Liverpool. She is shown full sail broadside-on. A number of figures can be seen working on the deck and there is coastline with a tower visible in the distance on the left. A smaller single-masted boat is shown on the right of the painting. An inscription 'Princess Amelia of Liverpool' is displayed in a banner across the top of the painting. A ship of this name was wrecked off the coast of Moelfre in 1868.
