Tor Church, Devon
Vignette. The Church of St Saviour at Torquay is 15th century but with a 14th century tower. Part of it was enlarged in 1873-1874, and this can be seen in the change in stonework to the right of the two windows. It is now a Greek Orthodox church dedicated to St Andrew. John Herschel's friend Charles Babbage came from Torquay and returned there after their time at Cambridge.
