Unidentified Greenwich Pensioner. Fox Talbot Collection
A photographic sixth plate size miniature, possibly a collodion negative (or positive?). A hand-tinted portrait of an unidentified Greenwich Pensioner seated in a tricorn hat, coat, shirt with a necktie. The edging on his hat, bands on his coat cuffs and buttons have been picked out in gold. The sitter holds a cane in his left hand.
