Universal equinoctial ring dial
Universal equinoctial ring dial for all latitudes. This dial coincides with the beginning of the fashion for very large equinoctial ring dials. While heavy, these instruments had advantages in allowing the division of the scales to very small numbers. It is signed 'Edm: Culpeper Londini fecit' on the obverse side of the meridian ring. This piece contrasts well with the miniature dial by Culpeper (see AST0306).
