USSR Naval ensign (1935-1991)
USSR naval ensign, 1935-1991 pattern. The ensign is made of synthetic fibre bunting with a cotton hoist. It is machine sewn with a printed design. Rope loops for hoisting are attached to the edge. Design: white with a red five-pointed star and hammer and sickle emblem; a horizontal blue stripe along the lower edge of the fly. Inscribed on the hoist: '1991 _Ôé¼A_Ë_┬©_¤_¤_Ôò® _Ôö┤___É_┬░_├Ã_├│. _Ê.__ 8498-81'. Purchased from Russian Submarines UK Ltd as Russian navy surplus.
