Visit of Charles II to the 'Tiger' at Woolwich: The 'Tiger' lying-to, surrounded by yachts
This drawing shows the 'Tiger' in the centre, viewed from slightly above her starboard beam. The vessel is getting under way and there is a royal standard at the main. On the right, in the foreground are the 'Charlotte' and 'Kitchen', Captain Crow and 'Henrietta'. Each is identified by full or partial inscriptions. In the background on the left are the 'Cleveland' (klevelant), the 'Isabella' bezan yacht (Isabell) and another bezan yacht, below which is the following inscription: ? lord u. ij. s, which refers to Lord Dunblane. All the vessels on the left are beating to windward.
