Warrant Officer John Webster, RN, DSM
John Webster came from Youghal, County Cork. When Bone drew him in 1945, he was 73 and serving as a Boatswain at the Royal Naval Barracks at Devonport. Stephen Bone, the son of Sir Muirhead Bone, was a painter and engraver. He worked as an official war artist attached to the Navy, 1943-1945.
