Warship; 74 guns; 3rd rate

Scale: Unknown. A model of a Royal Naval warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar. The ship is three masted, ship rigged and with set sails. Dark grey smoke is billowing from a gun port at the port bow. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the two gun decks. The decks are painted white with black deck fittings. There is a white ensign flying from the peak of the gaff, a pennant flying from the top of the foremast and a Union flag flying from the bowsprit.
