Warship; 74 guns

Scale: Unknown. A model of a Royal Naval warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and the ship shows damage sustained in the action. The ship is three masted and ship rigged on all three masts. All the sails show shot damage. A white ensign is flying from the peak of the gaff and a union flag is flying from a halliard, between the fore and main masts. Dark grey smoke is billowing from the deck and from several gun ports on the port and starboard sides. The mizzen mast is broken from the lower mast. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the gun decks, white on the deck, and black on the deck fittings.
