Warship
Scale: Unknown. A model of a warship made in plaster with wood, metal, paper, and cotton fittings which has been realistically painted. The model depicts the vessel at 13.40 on 21 October 1805 at the height of the Battle of Trafalgar and the ship is shown with damage sustained in the battle. The ship is three masted, only the lower masts of the foremast and mainmast are intact with standing rigging and the mizzen mast has been broken off just above the deck. The hull is painted black with white stripes along the two gun decks. The depicted vessel appears to be on fire and is engulfed in smoke with debris and collapsed rigging both on the deck and surrounding the hull.
