Pocket watch in silver case (composite). Thirty hour duration, single train, four pillar gilt brass fusee movement with verge escapement. Silver regulating disc marked 'A.R.'. Red (paste?) endstone to pierced and engraved balance bridge. Brass balance with flat spiral balance spring. Adjustable potence. Pillar plate stamped 'DP3??2' (partly obscured by lead solder). Stamped under potence '3052'. 50 mm diameter white enamel dial. The lower half of the dial is painted with a scene depicting the French fleet invading Britain. There is a semi-circular aperture at the centre of the dial which has a mock automaton of a ship against a white background. Dial above centre having Arabic hour and quarter numerals. Winding hole through dial at 9 o'clock. The top of the dial is inscribed with the words 'Descente en Angleterre'. Blued-steel spade hands. Open face silver case. Stamped inside case back 'HTD 3214<
