Watch in silver case. Thirty hour duration, single train, gilt brass, keyless movement with club-tooth lever escapement of ordinary quality. Uncut screwed balance with flat spiral white metal balance spring and adjustable index, engraved with 'F S' and 'A R'. Jewelled balance pivots, impulse pin and pallets (total seven jewels). Gold-covered winding crown and hand-set push piece at XI. Dome engraved with 'TRAINING SHIP EXMOUTH Presented to S. BEVAN for the Best Boy in Cooking June 27th 1908'.
