Waterline model; Miniature model
Scale: 1:1200. A waterline model of the German transatlantic passenger liner 'Europa' (1930) made entirely in wood with metal fittings and painted in realistic colours. The hull is painted brick red at the waterline with a narrow white stripe above, black above the waterline and white upperworks. Fittings include a long foredeck with raised bulwarks at the bow, wave deflector and foremast; boat deck with twenty-four lifeboats painted white and two ship's boats, all stowed on davits; two lozenge-shaped squat funnels, painted ochre; mainmast; two open aft decks; and cruiser stern. On label applied to base of model 'Waterline model ships Europa scale 100 feet to 1 inch. Bassett-Lowke Ltd, Northampton'.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
