Waterline model; Miniature model
Scale: Unknown. A waterline model of a passenger/cargo vessel. The hull is painted black with brick red at the bow and stern waterlines and a fine red stripe at main deck level running the entire length of the vessel. The decks are painted a uniform cream with mid-grey cargo hatch covers. The forecastle has anchor cable-handling gear. The forward cargo deck has two hatches served by two pairs of derricks rigged to a foremast positioned between them. The bridge is a separate superstructure at the forward end of the lower promenade deck, comprising three open decks. The topmost deck is an open pilot house, flanked by a pair of elongated rectangular bridge wings. Attached the aft of the bridge superstructure is a derrick mast serving a single hatch. The main superstructure has two promenade decks, the lower one is open, and the central section of the upper promenade is enclosed, indicated by a row of portholes. The boat deck has seven pairs of lifeboats, painted white with grey covers, stowed on davits on the port and starboard sides, and with collapsible boats stowed beneath them. Between the lifeboats is a pair of funnels, painted black with white horizontal bands. Fore and aft of the funnels is a pair of skylights or ventilation grilles. At the aft end of the boat deck is a derrick mast. At the aft end of the lower promenade deck are two open raised decks, atop of which are a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits and two small skylights. The aft cargo deck has two hatches and, between them, two further open, raised decks with a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits and, set between them, a derrick mast with two pairs of derricks rigged to it. A raised poop deck at the stern includes a pair of lifeboats stowed on davits. On base of model: "163".
