The hull is painted black with a light brown boot topping along the waterline and a thin white line below the boot topping and the black hull. The upperworks, accommodation and decks are all painted a creamy white. The split-level forward deck is fitted with a large single rigged mast, together with four smaller cargo masts with derricks, all of which serving three grey covered cargo hatches. The central upper bridge and accommodation superstructure is fitted with three pairs of lifeboats rigged to davits either side of a pair of tall, oval-shaped funnels which are painted red with a white strip and black top and a white circle with a blue star in the middle which denotes that this vessel was owned by the White Star Line. At the stern, there is another large single mast, together with four smaller cargo masts and derricks serving three small grey covered cargo hatches.
