Webley Mark II revolver

Webley Mark II revolver plus holster and belt (see parts ZBA0370.1, ZBA0370.2 and ZBA0370.3). Hard rubber grips are applied to the butt; a ring is attached to the tip of the butt. It has a solid frame made in one with the barrel but designed to break for loading. Double action with a six chambered cylinder. The barrel is rifled with a pronounced blade foresight. The calibre is 0.455in. It is stamped with the serial number '56175' and a naval broad arrow. It has a brown leather holster with a belt. The revolver came with a packet of live .455 ammunition which has been disposed of. This firearm was acquired via the Firearms Amnesty of 1996. In event of disposal it must be either transferred (not given) to authorised museum, the Forensic Science Service, the MOD Pattern Room, the Royal Military College at Shrivenham. Otherwise it must be handed into the Metropolitan Police for destruction.
