Webley Mark IV revolver

Hatched plaques are applied to both sides of the grip. The framed is solid with the barrel and is nickel plated. The cylinder is chambered for six cartridges. The hammer has a pronounced near horizontal spur. Double action. The barrel is fitted with a blade foresight. The calibre is .450/455in. Inscribed on the butt is the company name 'White Star Line' and the serial number '324' On the frame are the numbers '450/455'. It is said that 5th Officer Lowe of the Titanic used a revolver to quell the crowd of passengers when the ship was sinking. Although not this revolver, he possibly used a similar Webley service revolver.
