Westminster
A view from the water of Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. The bridge was built by Thomas Page between 1854-1862. Sir Charles Parry was the architectural consultant to the project. It consists of seven iron arches on granite piers. The iron arches for the bridge were assembled at the Thames Ironworks in Blackwall. Unusually for Wyllie there are no craft depicted on the river.
William Lionel Wyllie
