A panoramic view of the collection of houses which Sir John Vanbrugh built for members of his family adjacent to Vanbrugh Castle (then Bastille House, his own residence, 1712), here seen on the left with the others stretching broadly east along the top of the Greenwich eascarpment. None except the Castle now survive.
