A wooden fid with a 5-lead, 4-bight Turk's head knot at the end in vanished hemp cord. Below the head in ink is inscribed: 'S.H. SÃ”Ã²Ã¡â”¬â”‚rensen Varde 1882'. Other examples of SÃ”Ã²Ã¡â”¬â”‚rensen's work can be seen at the Maritime Museum at HelsingÃ”Ã²Ã¡â”¬â”‚r, Denmark. He was born in Varde, Denmark in 1882 and in 1892 sailed on board the barque 'Peruvian' of FanÃ”Ã²Ã¡â”¬â”‚.
