A fishing pink hauled up on the beach in a fresh breeze on the Dutch coast
A scene showing a fishing pink hauled up on a beach on the Dutch coast. In the right foreground near a groyne is a fishing pink hauled up on the beach about ten feet from the water's edge. There are two people seated in the pink, a third is standing on the beach leaning on the side of the boat. Another man on the far right looks towards them as he walks towards the groyne. In the left foreground are some stumps and between these and the pink are an anchor and several rollers lying in the sand. In the middle distance are three ships at anchor. The nearer flies flags which signify an admiral of the rear or Amsterdam squadron. There is land in the left distance. There are five ships at anchor their masts seen in the right distance over the groyne. A little way out from the shore on the left is a boat with a man standing up in it, either at anchor in a strong tide or being towed.
