A model of a cargo vessel; Junk, Upper Yangtze
Scale: Unknown. A model of a Ma-Yang-Tzu (Chinese river junk). The hull is made entirely in wood and is flat-bottomed with a high stern. There are three masts, all set with single sails. At the stern there are three curved roofs all made from woven straw. The deck forward comprises a number of removable hatch covers and there is a also a capstan painted black with a red top. Fixed to a pair of transverse beams, that are attached to the deck, is a pair of sweeps (or steering oars), the starboard sweep having a triangular pennant. The rudder is missing.

Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
