Anchor model

Scale: Unknown. A pattern model for a stockless anchor, circa 1951, made entirely in walnut. The shank is rectangular in section and has a rounded top that incorporates a D-shackle that swivels on a round-headed bolt. Just beneath the shackle, and tied to it, is a length of rope that has been wound a number of times around the shank and secured. The shank pivots on the crown in an arc of about 75 degrees. The bottom of the crown is flat and the sides are stepped twice terminating in flat, rectangular sections whose corners are rounded. The crown has been made in two pieces, joined in the middle. Two wide, tapering arms terminate in short arrow-shaped flukes.
