Cats on board the cruiser HMS 'Hawkins'
These two kittens are ship’s pets on HMS 'Hawkins' and are in the muzzle of a 7.5 inch gun. The photograph is located in an album that contains 301 photographic prints of the first commission of HMS Hawkins (1917) on the China Station between 24 July 1919 and 28 March 1921. The album was collected and presented by A. J. C. Farlow, RN [Senior Commissioned Gunner].
