'Cedar Bank' (1892)
Scale: Unknown. A half block model of the starboard side of the four-masted passenger/cargo barque 'Cedar Bank' (1892), made entirely in wood, painted and polished. The hull is polished wood made up of several horizontal sections below the waterline and black above with a broad off-white stripe running the entire length of the hull onto which is painted black rectangles that resemble gunports. Hull details include a clipper bow; figurehead; starboard hawse holes; and rudder. Fittings include foredeck and poop deck; a stump bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, mizzen mast and jigger mast; three deckhouses on the main deck of varying lengths and with what appear to be skylights; and tall deckhouse and enclosed wheel on the poop. The model is displayed on a rectangular wooden backboard with a framed edge in a lighter-coloured wood.
