'Chatham', starboard broadside
Scale: 1:32. A contemporary full hull model of the yacht 'Chatham' circa 1741, built in the Georgian style. The model is decked and is complete with a variety of fittings. It illustrates well the carved and painted decoration of the mid 18th century models. It is one of a few models in the collection that has the individual hull planking applied onto the wooden core and held in place by small wooden treenails.
