Counter commemorating the Battle of the Texel and the death of Admiral Maarten Harpertszoon Tromp, 1653. Obverse: Bust of Admiral Tromp in a collar with order of St Michael (three-quarter right) supported by infant genii holding a naval crown over his head, a ribbon below inscribed, 'myn hert en handt was voor het landt' (my heart and hand were for this land). Reverse: A naval engagement, starboard quarter view of two vessels in the foreground, a sunken wreck below.
