Terrestrial table globe. It forms a pair with the celestial globe, Hondius and Veen GLB0122. Geographical details on the sphere include loxodromes for 32 compass points. There is a hypothetical southern continent, which is labelled 'TERRA AUSTRALIS INCOGNITA'. The Strait of le Maire is shown. At the most southern point of South America there are labels for 'Fretum Magellanica', 'Passage du I. Lameyr' and 'I. Maurice'. There is advice to the reader at the southern continent in a rectangular cartouche.
