Frog mug
Frog mug, transfer-printed in black with hand-colouring in red, yellow, green and pink lustre. On one side a scene of a sailor and lass with a ship in the background and the title 'THE TOKEN OR JACK'S SAFE RETURN' below 'IF YOU LOVES I AS I LOVES YOU/NO PAIR AS HAPPY AS WE TWO.' On the other side, a six line verse within a border, a small ship above: 'Now weigh the anchor hoist the sail/Launch out upon the pathless deep/Resolved however veers the gale/the destined port in mind to keep/Through all the danger's of the way/Deliver us good Lord we pray.' Pink lustre lines are painted around the base and rim and there is a moulded frog painted brown.
