'Great Britain' (1854)
Scale possibly 1:96. A full hull model of a cargo sailing ship named Great Britain, possibly made in the 19th century, fully rigged and mounted on wooden crutches. It includes a set of boats, two rigged from the quarter davits, as well as a variety of deck fittings and deckhouse accommodation. The hull is painted a brown colour below the waterline to simulate copper sheathing, and black above to the bulwarks. The model has a painted figurehead depicting a bird of prey.
