A well-detailed pencil sketch of distant London, taken from across the front of the Royal Observatory, whose east pavilion on Flamsteed House is visible upper left. The windmills at Millwall on the Isle of Dogs can be seen over the trees below the Observatory on the right. The drawing is inscribed 'Greenwich Park', lower right and bears colour annotations; 'white', 'red' and 'yellow brick' on the pavilion and its foundation wall on the left. Clouds are sketchily indicated in the sky.
