Half block and full hull model of the 'Titania'
Scale: 1:48. A contemporary design half block model of the cargo clipper ship 'Titania' (1866), built in 'bread and butter' fashion. The 'Titania' was a composite-built clipper and was highly competitive and profitable in the tea trade to the Far East. Bought by the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1880s, 'Titania' ended her days working in the Mediterranean and was finally broken up in 1910. The lines from this half model were used by Clifford Oldham to build a full hull model of this clipper, see SLR3043.
