HMS 'Penguin' (1876) moored in Sydney Harbour

A starboard quarter view of the composite screw sloop 'Penguin' (1876) secured to a mooring buoy off Garden Island, Sydney Harbour, Australia. Off her portside is the USS Transport 'Celtic' (1891), of which her flag, funnel and main mast can be seen through 'Penguin's' rigging. In the background can be seen the First Class Protected Cruiser HMS 'Royal Arthur' (1891), flagship of the Australian Station 1899-1904.
