The lower portion of the hull is painted a copper-bronze colour which is divided by a thin white line towards the waterline. The upper portion of the hull is painted black and includes circular portholes, gunports and apertures, a pair of oval shaped hawsepipes painted red internally, gun and anchor apertures, all of which have been carved into the hull. The main deck, forecastle and bridge decks are finished in a natural wood and varnished with the individual deck planks marked in black ink. There are a pair of oval-shaped funnels mounted on rectangular blocks of superstructure painted white. Between the forward and aft bridge decks are a series of seven rectangular and square blocks of superstructure, all of which are painted white.
