Large Dutch ships before a light breeze, ?August 1665
In the centre a ship is viewed from abaft the starboard beam with a flag at the main and pendant at the mizzen, under fore course, mizzen and topsails. Other ships of the same squadron are in the background.
There is a drawing in the British Museum on the same paper dated 27 Aug [OS]/ 6 Sept. 1665 (B1; CM.13).
