Medalet commemorating HMS 'Hibernia'. Obverse: Starboard broadside view of the cruiser. Reverse: The Irish harp, a crown above; a ribbon below inscribed: 'H. M. S. HIBERNIA.' Fitted with a loop and a ring. HMS 'Hernia' 1905 was a battleship of 16, 350 tons. The first aircraft to take off from a ship under way became airborne from her decks in 1912. She was the flagship of Rear Admiral Sydney Fremantle (1867-1958) at the Dardanelles during the evacuation of Gallipoli in 1915. 'Hibernia' was scrapped after the 1st World War in 1921.
