Officer of the Watch telescope- draw tube inscription
This Officer of the Watch telescope has a leather-covered barrel and a single draw tube. The silvered brass fittings include a pivoted eyepiece cover (now missing). The objective lens cap is also missing and there is some damage to the objective end of the telescope. The name of the maker or retailer is inscribed on the draw tube: 'Coombes, / Optician ; Admiralty agent. / DEVONPORT'.
