Quintant- Front
Silver frame and fittings, ivory handle. Signed on the limb 'Mrs. Janet Taylor, 104 Minories London'. Mounted at the centre of the frame is the crest of the Prince of Wales, comprising three feathers held in a crown, with the motto 'Ich Dien' (I serve) on a ribbon. The lower decoration includes a British ensign (by implication the general red, senior ensign at this date) and the Royal Standard, with thistles, roses, clover and a daffodil symbolizing Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales. Inlaid gold scale from -5 to 160 by 10, measuring to 142. Gold vernier to 10'', zero at right. Tangent screw and clamp screw on the back of the index arm. Index glass adjustment by screw, horizon glass by capstan screws. Four shades (mauve, mauve, mauve, green), three horizon shades (mauve, mauve, green). Magnifier on 82 mm swivelling arm, with frosted glass shade. Telescope bracket in two parts, fitted for correcting collimation error, perpendicular adjustment by rising piece and milled knob. Telescope (149 mm) inverted image, two cross wires, spare eyepiece (51 mm) inverted image, two cross wires, telescope (85 mm), erect image. Sight-tube (81 mm), two shaded eyepieces (both mauve), adjusting pin. Radius 6'' (152 mm). In rosewood keystone box, lined with blue velvet and on the lid the crest of the Prince of Wales in silver.Janet Taylor

Due to the coronovirus pandemic and Brexit situation, current shipping times may be longer, particularly for destinations outside the UK.
Delivery to the UK is £10 for a single framed print.
