Seascape from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis'
A sketch of the sea from the 'Penaglis M. Hadoulis'. The artist has concentrated on the effects of waves deep at sea, on a calm sea. In particular he has been concerned with the patterning created by the rhythm of the waves and the appearance of waves breaking and forming crests. The surface of the water is broken with undulations of darker blue paint to indicate the waves where they emerge as peaks, darker on the underside and white on the breaking crests.
