Seascape from the 'Ravenspoint'
A sketch from the 'Ravenspoint' showing a heavy swell. A ship is visible in the distance towards the horizon. The sea in the foreground shows a deep trough with the sides of the waves rising up on either side. The sea is an intense blue and the movement of the waves is implied by the short brush strokes of different colour. Everett sailed in the steamer, 'Ravenspoint', from Liverpool to the Mediterranean between January and February 1935.
