Scale: Unknown. A sectional model depicting the bulwark and deck of a vessel to show the fitting and use of a scupper for clearing the decks of water. The model is made largely in wood, painted black on the outboard side with the remains of a label being mounted horizontally and shows the flanged end of the lead lined scupper pipe. Inboard the model is complete with a deck supported by stylised deck beams and inscribed with individual planks, which were originally painted a creamy yellow colour. Where the deck joins the bulwark is a curved waterway and the upper flanged end of the scupper almost fitted flushed to the deck. The inboard face of the bulwark is finished in a dark brown colour. There are several indications of applied labels, all of which have disintegrated or have been lost.
