Ship of 24 guns, port 3/4 bow
Scale: 1:48. A full hull model of a 24-gun, sixth-rate sloop (circa 1740). The model is decked. Below the running strakes, it is in block form. It has a lead keel, suggesting that it was a sailing model. The model's dimensions do not conform exactly to the 1733 Establishment for 20-gun ships, and represents a sloop longer (at 114Õ_ feet) and slightly lighter (at 471 tons burden) than the 24-gunners of 1741.
