Signet ring
Gold signet ring, the ring is set with a moonstone, which is decorated with an engraving of the passenger paddle steamer 'Princess Maude'. The ring is inscribed on the inside with the words 'Spithead Review August 11 1853 to H.T.Moore'. The ring was presented to Captain Henry Moore, along with a snuffbox (ZBA0824), by the directors of the Brighton and South Coast Railway Company, which owned the 'Princess Maude' and who were on board the 'Princess Maude' during the Spithead Review of 1853.
