Stars drawn in pencil
MacMillan globe. Astronomical details on the sphere include a few stars on the sphere which have been annotated in pencil. The globe was most probably used to teach navigators spherical trigonometry. There are metallic accessories consisting of scales and a spherical protractor for measuring angles on the surface of a sphere.
