Study for A Jetty at Greenwich
An oil study inscribed on the back by Sir Brinsley Ford, in black ball-point, 1984:' Study for my picture Jetty at Greenwich, 1938, by Jesse Dale Cast. Given me with a smaller oil study by the artist's son, David Cast, 12 June 1984. It is my wish that these two oil studies, and the drawings done for the Jetty at Greenwich, should be kept together as they illustrate the immense trouble the artist took over his paintings. [signed] Brinsley Ford 16. 6. 84'.
