Tank testing model; Design model

Scale: Unknown. Full hull tank testing model of an unidentified destroyer(?) hull built in bread and butter fashion comprising of four layers of softwood planks(splitting and loose) shaped and gauged out internally. The model has been varnished overall and fitted internally with three wooden beams or bearers athwart ships as in the previous example, together with six plywood patches(heavily worm eaten). At the stern there is a single propeller shaft which exits a large central skeg, after which is a cavitated area for the propeller to operate. There are the remains of some metal fittings(heavily rusted) along the centerline, a single metal threaded eye, whilst leading forward the hull is complete with a ram bow.

Original size: 230 mm x 2200 mm x 265 mm
